My name is David Vine. I currently live in Berkeley and work at Berkeley National Lab. In 2009 I moved from Melbourne to Chicago to work at the largest synchrotron in North America, the Advanced Photon Source.

Through my research I've helped babies breathe easier, converted an X-ray diffractometer into a microscope and most recently built microscopes that don't use a lens. I've written software for automating experiments and analyzing data.

Lately I've been interested in web development. I created the webics project to archive and interact with experimental data in real-time. The site you're currently viewing was an experiment in creating a personal landing page that auto-updates with all my citations and software projects by scraping them from Google Scholar and Github.
